Residential DSP: Lexington Park, MD Part-Time

Job Summary:
Bay-CSS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team on a part-time basis in Lexington Park, MD. This position requires availability on Wednesdays (2pm - 10pm), Fridays (2pm - 10pm), and Saturdays (8am - 2pm). The Residential DSP will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required;
• Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and car insurance required
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs
• Completion of all mandatory trainings and certifications

Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with daily living tasks, including meal preparation, personal care, and medication management
• Engage individuals in recreational and social activities to enhance community involvement and independent living skills
• Implement personalized support plans and behavior management strategies
• Maintain accurate documentation of individual progress and any incidents
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care and assistance
• Adhere to organizational policies and procedures to safeguard the well-being of residents

Compensation:

• Hourly rate of $21/hour Monday through Friday
• Additional $2/hour weekend shift differential for Saturdays and Sundays
