Residential DSP in Severn, MD

Job Summary

Bay-CSS is looking for a committed Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Severn, MD. This role requires providing essential support and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The position offers a competitive compensation of $21 per hour Monday through Friday, with a $2 shift differential on Saturday and Sunday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs
• Successful completion of a background check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow directions, work well in a team, and adhere to a set schedule
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable individual
• Ability to attend all required trainings in the allotted timeframe
  
  

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores
• Support individuals in pursuing personal goals and objectives
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
• Maintain detailed documentation of resident progress and incidents
• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures ensuring resident safety and well-being
• Work Tuesday through Saturday from 3pm to 11pm as scheduled
