Overview
Bay Colony Search has partnered with a manufacturing client to find and hire a General Manager to be part of the senior leadership team. This is a fast-paced and growing manufacturer although right now it is fairly small. The challenge is increasing production while also starting to manufacture standards rather than just specials which is the current product.
Job Functions
- Oversee and manage the daily day-to-day operations of the production plant and meet all shipment schedules
- Develop and implement an operational plan for the company that addresses staff development issues, safety, operational excellence, quality improvement, financial performance, delivery, and quality of service
- Create and drive a culture of learning, innovation, mentoring, coaching, succession planning, recognition, respect, and professionalism
- Oversee and manage consumable and maintenance purchasing activities and monitor inventory levels
- Lead problem solving efforts, coach team members in resolving conflicts and achieving results, and provide guidance to underperforming employees
- Make and execute strategic decisions and tactics that ensure we remain supplier of choice to our customers by instilling a culture of delivering a quality product on time, every time and superior customer service
- Develop a collaborative working relationship with all employees throughout the organization
- Administer budgets, control monthly P&L results, and formulate action plans to address variances and gaps
- Achieve annual profitability goals
