HR Generalist & Payroll Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven HR Generalist & Payroll Specialist to support workforce management, payroll operations, and administrative functions across our multispecialty medical practice.

This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while supporting core human resource functions, including employee relations, compliance, and workforce administration. In addition, this position supports daily clinic scheduling, office operations, and provides general executive administrative support to leadership. The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient systems and ensuring employees and operations are supported throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable managing payroll, HR processes, and administrative responsibilities within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resources Support

  • Maintain employee records and ensure HR compliance with applicable regulations
  • Assist with employee documentation, performance reviews, and performance improvement plans
  • Support managers with employee relations and workplace concerns
  • Coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and employee documentation
  • Assist in maintaining and updating HR policies and procedures
  • Support training coordination and workforce development initiatives

Payroll Administration

  • Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Ensure all timecards are properly reviewed, approved, and submitted prior to payroll processing
  • Monitor and follow up on missing or incomplete timesheets
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with wage and hour laws
  • Coordinate with finance and leadership on payroll-related matters
  • Address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries in a timely manner

Clinic Scheduling & Office Operations

  • Manage and coordinate daily clinic scheduling to ensure efficient patient flow and optimal provider utilization
  • Adjust schedules as needed to accommodate patient needs, provider availability, and operational priorities
  • Support front office operations, including workflow coordination and process improvements
  • Assist in maintaining smooth day-to-day clinic operations and communication between clinical and administrative teams
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve operational efficiency

Executive & Administrative Support

  • Provide general administrative support to executive leadership
  • Assist with meeting coordination, calendar management, and internal communications
  • Prepare reports, documents, and presentations as needed
  • Support special projects and organizational initiatives and other duties as needed

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (or equivalent) preferred
  • Experience with payroll processing and HR systems
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Pay: $48,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
