Responsibilities
- Remove and replace damaged or worn auto glass using manual cutting tools and power tools while adhering to safety standards
- Perform automotive glass repairs to restore vehicle integrity and safety
- Handle glass materials carefully, ensuring proper storage, transportation, and installation procedures
- Use specialized equipment to fit glass accurately and securely in various vehicle makes and models
- Conduct detailed inspections of auto glass components, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibration when necessary
- Assist with auto body repair tasks such as minor dent removal or vehicle detailing to ensure a comprehensive service experience
- Operate company vehicles safely for on-site or off-site job assignments while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety protocols
Experience
- Prior dealership experience or automotive service background preferred but not required; relevant mechanic experience is a plus
- Knowledge of ADAS systems calibration, auto glass installation, and automotive repair techniques
- Hands-on experience with manual glass cutting, fitting glass installation, and auto estimating software is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting techniques necessary for handling large or heavy glass panels
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto body repair processes
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients and ensure a positive service experience
- Ability to operate company vehicles safely and responsibly in various work environments
