* Full-time 2nd Shift (2PM-10PM) Direct Care Worker * Starting rate $18.49/hour * $500 signing bonus **
Seeking a Full-time 2nd shift (2 p.m. – 10 p.m.) Direct Care Worker to provide support in a residential setting to people who experience an intellectual disability. Assists residents with maintaining and developing relationships in their home and their community. Facilitates a variety of activities and creates an atmosphere that promotes independence, personal decision-making, and self-sufficiency. Carries out behavior treatment plans. Assists with activities of daily living, personal care, meal preparation, passing medications, and transportation. .
Requirements: Experience working with people who have an intellectual disability is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Possession of a valid, unrestricted Michigan driver’s license is required. Must have the physical ability to carry out the typical job duties. Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. Must be available to attend in-person, day-time paid training including group home curriculum and CPR and First Aid.
