Job Description: Benefits: Pay rate: $22-$23 Hours: 25 hours per week Schedule: Monday through Friday, between the hours of 1:30 pm- 6:00 pm Stepping stone into a career in education or other professions you desire, with transferable skills. Help support your community to grow and thrive Responsibilities: Support and maintain a safe and emotionally supportive environment Implement lesson plans that support summer learning goals Collaborate with adult instructors to support their (youth-driven curriculum) Model BACR Best Practices (See employee handbook for Best Practices) Minimum Requirements ● Ability to work Monday – Friday until 6:00 pm for the duration of the school year ● Ability to pass a criminal background check and TB test clearance ● Must have an AA degree or higher, 48 college credits OR pass the Instructional Aide Exam ● Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with students, parents, community partners, and BACR staff. ● Have strong classroom management skills ● Experience working with elementary youth preferred responsibilities ● Ability to plan and facilitate activities for up to 20 students ● Must be able to work independently or part of a team ● Actively supervise and ensure student safety at all times ● Model positive and proactive attitudes, behaviors, and language About Us: Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) promotes the healthy development of individuals, families and communities through direct services, volunteerism, and partnerships in the San Francisco Bay Area.
