Responsibilities
- Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
- Prescribing medications, therapies and other treatments
- Managing general patient care
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays and lab work)
- Educating patients about healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention
- Counseling patients about their healthcare plan
- Holding specialty-specific responsibilities
- Taking medical histories
- Ordering and interpreting lab tests and diagnostic tests
- Performing physical exams
- Diagnosing and treating illness
- Educating patients about their treatment plan
- Follow up with patients
Qualifications
- Valid Physician Assistant or APRN license with current certification to practice in the state of employment
- Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks, is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on comprehensive assessment and treatment planning for diverse populations across inpatient and outpatient settings
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
