Position Summary

The Behavior Technician (BT) provides direct, one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children and adolescents with developmental, behavioral, or social-emotional needs. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the BT implements individualized treatment plans, collects accurate data, and collaborates with families and team members to support skill development and behavior reduction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans and behavior intervention strategies developed by the supervising BCBA.

  • Provide direct ABA therapy in the home, center, school, or community settings.

  • Collect accurate and timely data on client progress and behaviors.

  • Maintain professional, supportive communication with supervisors, families, and colleagues.

  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.

  • Follow company protocols to ensure client safety, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

  • Adapt to different environments and demonstrate flexibility in supporting client needs.

  • Assist with generalization of skills across settings, people, and situations.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least 18 years old.

  • Ability to pass background check, TB test, and any state/federal requirements.

  • Reliable transportation and consistent availability for scheduled sessions.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Physical ability to interact with children (e.g., sitting on the floor, lifting up to 25 lbs, engaging in play-based activities).

Preferred:

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.

  • Experience working with children, especially those with developmental disabilities.

  • Coursework or degree in psychology, education, child development, or related field.

Work Environment & Schedule

Compensation & Growth

  • Hourly pay: $25–$28/hr, based on education, certification, and performance.
