Scope of Job: The Business Analyst – Pricing and Insights will support strategic commercial initiatives and deliver actionable pricing and margin insights. This hybrid role will work cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, and Finance to provide data-driven recommendations that optimize pricing strategies, improve profitability, and enhance decision-making. The position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data visualization tools, and the ability to translate complex data into clear business insights.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain pricing models and dashboards to support new and existing business opportunities.
- Deliver timely, accurate, and actionable insights on pricing, costing, and margin performance to internal stakeholders.
- Partner with commercial teams to identify opportunities for margin improvement and pricing optimization.
- Build and manage dashboards to visualize pricing trends, customer profitability, and cost structures.
- Analyze purchase price variances and cost drivers to inform pricing decisions.
- Prepare executive-level reporting for business reviews and strategic discussions.
- Lead and coordinate all customer reporting requirements beyond standard new business pricing and routine pricing updates, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling for commercial initiatives.
- Collaborate with Sales and Finance teams to ensure pricing strategies align with financial goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance data integrity and reporting efficiency.
- Collaborate with production and supporting departments to ensure the food safety and quality of our products.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, or related field required. MBA or professional certification (CPA, CFA, CMA) preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in pricing analysis, financial analysis, or commercial analytics. Prior experience in manufacturing, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or food co-manufacturing required. Hands-on experience with financial systems including Oracle E-Business Suite, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, and QlikView.
