Remote Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and bilingual (Spanish/English) Remote Medical Assistant to provide essential administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team, ensuring seamless patient care for our Spanish-speaking population from a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Communication: Answer, screen, and route calls, emails, and messages from patients in both Spanish and English, providing empathetic and accurate information.
• Scheduling: Manage appointment scheduling, rescheduling, and confirmations for virtual and in-person visits, coordinating with providers and patients.
• Insurance & Billing Support: Verify patient insurance, collect co-pays, and assist with billing inquiries.
• Telehealth Support: Assist patients with virtual platform navigation, conduct pre-visit technical checks, and ensure smooth telehealth encounters.
• Administrative Tasks: Prepare patient charts, manage referrals, handle prescription refill requests (as directed), and maintain strict HIPAA compliance.
• Language Bridge: Act as a crucial link, translating information and ensuring understanding between providers and Spanish-speaking patients.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED; Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA) preferred
• Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) is required.
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and standard office software.
• Excellent phone etiquette, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
