SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Director of Pharmacy, the Specialty Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing and verifying physician orders, accurately dispensing medications, providing timely and accurate drug information and performing well-reasoned and appropriate clinical interventions to optimize patient medication therapy.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Graduate of accredited school of Pharmacy; Bachelor Degree of Pharmacy or Pharm D
Experience: Two years of specialty pharmacy experience preferred; will consider recent pharmacy graduate or retail pharmacist.
License: Current Arkansas Pharmacist license in good standing.
Other: Proven communication skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel within the organization. Attentive to detail, strong interpersonal skills, fosters a team environment, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize work in a fast paced environment. Trained in general use of pharmacy computer systems.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a position in an outpatient pharmacy which is open up to 7 days per week during normal business hours.
Pharmacy staff: 5 days a week, 8 hour shifts and may include weekend, holiday, on call, and night shifts with long irregular hours occasionally required.
