SUMMARY:
The Medical Staff Quality Coordinator coordinates the development of performance improvement for the Medical Staff while promoting a positive safety culture for the benefit of our patients. The Medical Staff Quality Coordinator will coordinate efforts to monitor, evaluate, and improve the ongoing professional practice of individual practitioners with clinical privileges. The Medical Staff Quality Coordinator will create a culture with a positive approach to peer review by recognizing practitioner excellence as well as identifying improvement opportunities. Assists with the reappointment process by providing inpatient physician profiles and peer review data. Ensures the process of peer review is clearly defined, fair, defensible, timely, and useful. Participates and performs medical record reviews. Coordinates peer review activities and serves as a resource to medical staff.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education: Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in related medical field required. Bachelors’ Degree preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of related healthcare experience.
Licensure and/or Certification: Must possess current Arkansas or Compact State Nursing License in good standing, if applicable.
