Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Assistant Manager to help oversee daily operations of our liquor store. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills, experience handling cash transactions, inventory management knowledge, and the ability to lead staff while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager with daily store operations.
- Provide excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Operate cash registers accurately and handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation.
- Receive, stock, rotate, and organize merchandise on shelves, displays, and coolers.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and inventory counts.
- Ensure products are properly priced and displayed.
- Train, supervise, and support store employees.
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and appearance standards.
- Verify customer identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol sales laws and regulations.
- Assist with loss prevention and inventory control measures.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous retail, liquor store, convenience store, or management experience preferred.
- Experience with cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and cash handling.
- Knowledge of inventory management and stocking procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Must pass a pre-employment background check.

- Must be able to pass random drug testing as a condition of employment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
