Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to join our team for an established route The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking up recycling material and transporting back to recycling center efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service. The driver must be able to lift 50 pounds. The candidate will be working with adults with developmental disabilities. This position also requires a van route and must be able to work in other areas as needed.Must have high school diploma or equivalent, pass criminal background check and drug test. No CDL required.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated location.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of materials.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving in various conditions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors
- Provide heavy lifting as needed during loading and unloading processes.
Skills
- Proficient in driving and backing up 15-20 foot Box trucks and trailers.
- Strong understanding of safe driving practices and traffic regulations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks related to loading and unloading cargo.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet time lines.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members.
