Day in the life

It’s a crisp morning in Greenville, SC. You kick off the day with a quick huddle, aligning a crew of talented technicians on priorities: a critical drive alarm to diagnose, a preventive maintenance window to execute, and a new update from engineering to review. By mid-morning, you’ve isolated a tricky board-level fault using diagnostic software, then shift to refining the maintenance calendar to reduce future downtime. After lunch, you partner with engineering on a small design tweak that boosts reliability, close out detailed work orders, balance parts inventory, and wrap the day by coaching the team on safer, smarter testing techniques and PLC programming best practices.

What you’ll do
  • Lead, coach, and inspire an electronics technician team; set priorities and foster a collaborative, solution-focused environment.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across electronic systems and components to keep equipment running at peak performance.
  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair activities for a range of electronic equipment.
  • Create and manage preventive maintenance schedules that minimize unplanned downtime.
  • Partner closely with engineering to enhance existing systems and contribute to new solutions.
  • Maintain precise records of repairs, maintenance actions, and parts inventory.
  • Champion compliance with all safety standards, procedures, and regulations.
  • Train and support teammates on best practices, new technologies, and modern testing methods.
What you bring
  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 5 years in electronic maintenance and repair, including 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Deep understanding of electronic systems, circuits, and hands-on troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools and test software.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear, effective communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry advances.
  • PLC programming experience.
