JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints
- Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment
- Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, electrical and electronic test equipment
- Follow all OSHA required safety protocols
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other duties as needed or required
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4 years' experience as an Electrician in industrial or construction setting required
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Individual state contractor’s license preferred
- Completion of a licensing program or equivalent training and experience (NCCER) preferred
- Knowledge of the NEC standards regarding installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components
- Knowledge to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics as well as to conduct work in metric and SAE
- Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects
- Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to electrical work
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Driver’s License
- OSHA 10 or higher
- Willingness to travel
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks
