B-Tech Diesel Mechanic
Bauer’s IT is currently looking for an experienced B-Tech Diesel Mechanic at our Pier 50, San Francisco location. This is a fabulous opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking diesel mechanic to apply their skills in a company that offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities:
- Have uses gauges, special tools, and specialized electronic equipment to diagnose mechanical failure or problems. Ability to use any maintenance/repair manual, parts catalog and maintenance software.
- Communicate with manufacturer representatives concerning repairs, parts and diagnostic equipment.
- Serve as team lead worker when assigned.
- Ability to crawl under buses, stretch and lift heavy objects up to 50lbs.
- Disassemble and perform partial or complete overhauls as necessary (Diesel, CNG and Gasoline combustion engines).
- Diesel Mechanic must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of engines, transmissions, differentials and other assemblies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of how braking systems (hydraulic and air) work on a variety of vehicles.
- Have complete working knowledge of HVAC systems on a variety of vehicles (certification).
- Comprehensive working knowledge of suspension systems.
- Working knowledge and experience with electronics systems.
- Working knowledge and experience with air systems.
- Working knowledge and experience with ADA vehicle operations.
- Possess, or ability to possess Class B license within six months.
- 4 or more years of experience working as a diesel mechanic.
- Evidence of satisfactory completion of advanced classes on all major vehicle models in the fleet, and ability to maintained training requirements as required.
