Job Summary
Bauer Design Build is offering a Construction Internship where you’ll do more than shadow, you’ll actually learn how buildings come to life.
This internship is all about connecting the dots between what you’ve learned in class and what happens on a real jobsite. You’ll spend your summer in both the field and the office, gaining a full picture of construction management, from bidding and scheduling to safety inspections and quality control. You’ll walk away with a stronger skillset, real project experience, and a professional network that will set you apart when it’s time to launch your career.
What You’ll Get to Do
- Dive into estimating, pre-construction, and plan reading
- Crunch numbers with quantity takeoffs and bid analysis
- Help coordinate subcontractors and order materials
- Sit in on project meetings and keep things documented
- Learn construction scheduling and job cost review
- Observe jobsite operations (yes, you’ll need a hard hat)
- Support daily safety and quality inspections
- Jump in with carpenters, equipment operators, and skilled labor when needed
- Tackle other tasks that give you a true taste of construction management
What We’re Looking For
- Currently enrolled in a Construction Management program
- Valid driver’s license
- Comfortable with physical labor and working in all weather conditions
- General safety knowledge (PPE provided)
- Microsoft Project and/or Procore experience is a plus
- Self-starter with strong communication skills
Physical Demands / Work Environment
Construction is a mix of office and jobsite life. You’ll:
- Spend time both indoors and outdoors
- Sit for long periods, talk, hear, and work closely with others
- Use hands and arms for detailed tasks
- Occasionally climb, kneel, crouch, or lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule & Pay
- Full-time, Monday–Friday (hours may vary depending on role and jobsite needs)
- $20–$22/hour
