We are seeking a skilled and dedicated person to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of construction tasks, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in metal building erection, concrete forming, framing, finish work, and various carpentry disciplines will be essential in transforming blueprints into reality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from remodeling and restoration to new builds, utilizing your comprehensive construction knowledge and hands-on skills.
Responsibilities
- Erect metal buildings and frameworks with precision, following detailed schematics and technical drawings.
- Perform concrete forming, finishing, and rebar installation to ensure durable structures.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for framing, carpentry, masonry, roofing, siding, plastering, and trim work.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for site preparation, material handling, and demolition tasks.
- Measure dimensions accurately using tape measures and other tools to meet project specifications.
- Assist with remodeling projects by performing tasks such as drywall installation, stucco application, or restoration work.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes while maintaining a clean job site.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to coordinate tasks efficiently.
- Support the interpretation of technical drawings and schematics to execute complex construction activities effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in metal building erection, concrete forming, masonry, framing, or related construction fields.
- Hands-on knowledge of blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other construction equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on various job sites.
- Familiarity with construction management practices and site safety protocols.
- Experience working with rebar installation, concrete finishing techniques, roofing systems, siding applications, or woodworking is highly desirable.
- Prior involvement in remodeling or restoration projects is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts or cranes as needed for project support.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for accurate construction work.
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
