Role Description The Executive Administrative Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Des Moines, IA, supporting attorneys and firm leadership with high-level administrative and clerical tasks. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, and organizing files and documents as well as any IT issues that may arise. The role involves answering and directing phone calls with professional phone etiquette, drafting and formatting correspondence, and preparing materials for client meetings and internal use. The Executive Administrative Assistant will maintain office systems, handle any and all document editing. They will work closely with the legal team to anticipate administrative needs and provide reliable, proactive support.
Qualifications
- Strong Executive Administrative Assistance and Administrative Assistance skills, including calendar management and support for leadership.
- Professional Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external partners.
- Solid Clerical Skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and basic office organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, pay close attention to detail, and manage time effectively in a legal office environment.
- Proficiency with office software including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
