We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Systems Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will hold a RME-I license and will be responsible for helping to lead and grow our Fire Sprinkler inspection and service department. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems to ensure they meet safety standards and regulations.
Experience and licenses for Fire Alarms systems (FAL), Fire Extinguishers (FEL) and Backflows (B-PAT) are preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, fire hydrants, etc in various settings, including commercial and residential properties.
- Test and evaluate the performance of sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Troubleshoot any deficiencies or issues within the fire sprinkler systems and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades.
- Collaborate with contractors and clients to provide guidance on installation practices and system maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs performed on each system.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely while performing field service tasks.
- Completing inspection reports timely, properly tagging equipment, submitting reports to AHJ's, and quoting repairs and/or deficiencies
Skills
- Proficiency in fire sprinkler fitting techniques and knowledge of NFPA 25.
- Knowledge of low voltage systems related to fire protection equipment.
- Competent in effectively using hand tools safely during inspections and repairs.
- Interact with customers in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with an attention to detail to identify potential issues quickly.
- 5 years fire sprinkler inspection/troubleshooting experience
- Active RME-I Required (FAL,FEL, and B-PAT) a plus, but not required)

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
