What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Bus Boy position at Battleground Country Club?
POSITION: Banquet Busser/ Runner
REPORTS TO: Banquet Maitre’D / Captain
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in setting up the room and tables to the specification of the Banquet Contract or the Restaurant Reservation Book.
- Bus and reset tables, serve bread & butter and pour iced water on guests arrival and replenish as needed.
- Assist servers and host/hostess respond to guests needs and keep dining room and work areas clean.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Check station assignments and side duties. Check service area for ice, warm bread, cups, water pitchers and butters.
- Busses and cleans tables, chairs and seats, resets tables promptly after guests leave, carries bus tray to utility area, breaks down tray properly, then resets table.
- Knows table numbers and dining room layout, responds quickly to guests requests or notifies servers responsible of any guest requests, questions or complaints.
- Understands and follows safety and sanitation practices and works with clean and sanitized equipment.
- Stocks and replenishes cups, glasses, sodas, mixers, silverware, etc. and backs for the bartender.
- Performs duties that require standing, fast movement throughout the dining room, kitchen and service area.
- Position requires bending, reaching and lifting 50 pounds or more.
Salary : $17 - $18
