What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Staff / Assistant Innkeeper position at Battlefield Bed and Breakfast?

Event staff stage and host beautiful weddings and special events:
- set up and tear down event spaces, including chairs, tables, tablecloths, and decor
- welcome event guests and guide them throughout the property
- keep gardens looking photo-worthy, watering plants & weeding when necessary
Assistant Innkeepers perform all aspects of working at a traditional B&B:
- interacting with guests in person & on the phone, including taking reservations and checking people in/out
- serve breakfast and assist the breakfast chef as needed
- clean guest rooms, common areas, and event spaces
- process laundry
- stage/strike event spaces
- welcome event guests and guide them throughout the property
Schedule:
Special event shifts are usually on weekends and tend to be 10am-6pm and 3-11pm.
There are daily B&B Innkeeper AM shifts (7am-3pm) and PM shifts (1pm-9pm).
We will consider either one full-time person or multiple people splitting the different types of shifts into two or three part-time positions.
Weekend availability is VERY IMPORTANT.
Qualifications:
-Good oral and written communication skills
-Charming personality and a sense of hospitality
-Comfort with diverse travelers including children and dogs
-Strong computer skills
-Ability to troubleshoot electronics, such as wifi and satellite TV
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
-Familiarity with Gettysburg tourism and history
-Math skills for adjusting invoices and reservations, making change, and converting recipes, including multiplying percentages and fractions
-Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and also during periods of self-directed task management
