Job Summary:
The Operations Specialist is a dynamic and multi-functional role responsible for supporting all operational areas (Sales, Service and Parts). This position requires an individual who is comfortable pulling and backing a 24ft trailer, supporting customer service efforts, and maintaining the overall appearance of the facility. The Operations Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pickup and Delivery of Units: Safely transport units using a 24ft trailer, ensuring proper loading and unloading practices, and conducting inspections for damage upon delivery.
- Haul Dump Trailer: Deliver full dump trailers to the landfill as required.
- Fork Truck Operation: Safely operate a fork truck for the loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Showroom Organization: Assist with organization of units on the showroom floor and outdoor display areas.
- Counter Support: Assist with parts invoicing and service writing duties when necessary to support the counter staff.
- Parts Inventory Counts: Participate in parts inventory cycle counts and assist in stocking and organizing Parts & Accessories (PG&A).
- Unit Preparation: Clean and wash sold units for customer review post-sale, ensuring that they meet quality standards.
- Merchandising Assistance: Support merchandising efforts, including front-facing product displays and rotation of product placements.
- Assembly Tasks: Assemble point of purchase (POP) displays and fixtures, along with performing basic assembly of major units as needed.
- Maintenance of Supplies: Ensure fuel and propane caddies are full, and keep water bottles stocked for customer and employee use.
- Battery and Tire Monitoring: Regularly check and maintain the charge on vehicle batteries, record their status, and notify management as needed. Ensure displayed unit tires are properly inflated.
- Rotational Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of stock and displayed units to maintain cleanliness and detect any issues (e.g., flat tires).
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness of the parking lot and guest entrance through sweeping and leaf blowing. Perform minor repairs and maintenance on the building as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in trailer operation and loading/unloading materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic mechanical skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects and handle physical labor tasks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving for extended periods.
Work Environment:
This position will involve working both inside the showroom and outside in various weather conditions. The Operations Specialist must be adaptable and prepared to engage in a variety of tasks to support the overall operations of the dealership.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $17.00 per hour
