We are seeking a personable, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Patient Care Coordinator for our small, fast-paced private practice audiology office. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a team-oriented environment, and values creating a welcoming experience for patients — especially our senior population.
The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking while maintaining professionalism and empathy. Strong communication skills are essential, including the ability to effectively communicate with individuals who may have hearing impairments.
Responsibilities Include:
- Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system
- Schedule appointments for multiple providers efficiently and accurately
- Assist patients with questions regarding hearing concerns and appointments
- Complete patient intake and maintain accurate documentation
- Scan and organize patient records and referrals
- Process basic monetary transactions and payments
- Send appointment reminders by phone and computer systems
- Maintain office organization, supplies, and day-to-day operational procedures
- Support office marketing and patient retention initiatives
- Ensure a positive, attentive, and clean office environment
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow medical office and insurance guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
- Comfortable learning medical scheduling and computer software
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
- Experience working with seniors, patients, or in customer service preferred
- Previous medical office or hearing healthcare experience is a plus, but willing to train the right candidate
