Overview
Join our team as a Key Holder and Axe Throwing Coach, where you’ll help deliver a safe, engaging, and memorable guest experience in a fast-paced entertainment environment. In this role, you will support daily operations, provide safety instruction to guests, assist with beverage service, and help maintain lane equipment and venue readiness.
This position includes independent shift responsibility and is best suited for applicants who are dependable, comfortable interacting with guests, and able to balance customer service with hands-on operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Open and/or close the venue as scheduled
- Independently manage shifts during assigned hours
- Provide safety instruction and coach guests in axe throwing (training provided)
- Deliver strong customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Operate Square POS for check-ins, purchases, and transactions
- Support beverage service as needed
- Maintain lane safety and change target boards
- Carry lumber and assist with routine maintenance tasks
- Use shop tools (drill, press, saw, sander, etc.) for upkeep and repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout shifts
- Support group events and special bookings as scheduled
- Enforce venue safety rules with guests
Requirements
- 18 Years Old
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- High level of dependability (minimal tardiness or call-ins expected)
- Reliable transportation
- Availability Thursday through Sunday
- Ability to independently manage scheduled shifts
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
- Comfortable performing physical labor and maintenance tasks
- Comfortable using basic tools
- Must obtain TABC Certification and Food Handler Certification (training provided if needed)
Preferred Experience
- Bartending experience
- Entertainment venue, hospitality, or event environment experience
- Experience working closing shifts
- Supervisory or shift-lead experience
- Familiarity with Square POS systems
- Current TABC and Food Handler certifications
