Duties
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) system management.
- Oversee inventory management, including stock replenishment, merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory control to maximize sales opportunities.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff to build a high-performing team aligned with company standards.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare reports on store performance; implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster a welcoming shopping environment.
Requirements
- Proven management experience within the retail industry, including supervising teams and managing store operations.
- Strong skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience with POS systems, purchasing processes, cash handling, and cashiering duties.
- Knowledge of retail math concepts such as pricing strategies, sales calculations, budgeting, and basic financial analysis.
- Ability to lead training & development initiatives while managing shift schedules effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on time management and operational efficiency.
- Experience in retail product knowledge and merchandising techniques to enhance store presentation.
