Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Electrical Service Technician located in Washington County, PA. The role involves performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, including DC battery back-up systems, UPS Systems, and other critical power equipment. The technician will provide field services, evaluate system performance, and deliver exceptional customer service to ensure all power systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
Leadership job roles are available for more experienced candidates. Pay is based on entry level technician position.
Responsibilities
- Complete and turn in field reports that capture all time and work completed on site
- Provide diagnostic analysis, repair, or preventative maintenance to customers
- Installing stationary battery systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), telecom power systems
- Trouble shoot battery chargers/UPS systems that come into the shop for repair
- Field wiring of batteries, chargers and UPS
- Field mechanical assembly
- Use of multimeter and test equipment to measure and record voltage, resistance, current and specific gravity
Qualifications
- Understanding of Electrical Theory & Circuit Analysis
- Excellent Customer Service skills with a focus on communication and problem-solving
- Ability to perform physical tasks and comply with safety standards
- Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally to support client needs
- Previous experience in industrial power or battery systems is a plus
