Part- Time Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist supports installation, repairing test equipment and components, and supporting facility maintenance upkeep, services, and safety, where and when necessary. To include working with vendors for landscaping, plumbing, electrical issues pertaining to the upkeep of the building and grounds.

Schedule: 20-25 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $30/hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supporting inspections and installation of parts and components on prototype fabrication and testing machinery, maintaining accurate records of the installation of these parts and the collection of test data, performing these inspections in a manner consistent with the Company’s guidelines and procedures
• Supporting the building/sourcing of test fixtures to carry out various needs associated with testing the components in a manner that will be accelerated in terms of time and that will correlate with actual field usage conditions
• Facility oversight of electrical, HVAC, building, facility grounds, and equipment
• Performing other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess the ability to communicate both orally and in writing
• Knowledge of basic maintenance of a building to include small repairs to plumbing, HVAC, Supply ordering, troubleshooting issues, etc.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, in some instances, this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.
