We are currently looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to join our growing team of accountants in providing remote accounting assistance to our clients. Our team primarily works remotely to support churches and Christian ministries primarily in Washington state. We’ve designed the job to work remotely from home or wherever you choose. You must live within 100 miles of our office located in Federal Way or Puyallup. We’re looking for a candidate who loves a challenge and works well with others.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with clients on the phone, e-mail, video conferencing, and occasionally in person
- Duties range from data entry to preparing financial statements and payroll
- Review and reconcile the general ledger accounts
- Review and reconcile client payroll
- Help clients maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
- Contribute positively to our company culture and reputation
- Understand and adhere to the ethics of a professional CPA firm
- Maintain constant communication with supervisors and our clients
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
Requirements and Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting
- Minimum 1-year experience as an accountant or bookkeeper in a corporate setting or CPA firm
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Strong math skills and an analytical mind
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and financial statements
- Consistent, accurate, thorough, and detail-oriented
- Strong organizational skills and aptitude for numbers
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong phone and e-mail etiquette
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
