Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all store activities, ensuring smooth daily operations and excellent customer experiences
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop team members to build a high-performing workforce when needed
- Manage inventory, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
- Oversee cash handling
- Implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to increase store revenue
- Monitor store performance through sales data analysis and retail math principles; adjust plans accordingly
- Maintain a safe, organized environment by supervising cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with company policies
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using phone etiquette with strong communication skills
- Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training & development programs to enhance team capabilities through Batteries Plus University
- Manage scheduling shifts efficiently while ensuring adequate staffing levels for peak times
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams effectively
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, and retail math calculations
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising techniques
- Experience with payroll administration, bookkeeping, budgeting, and cash handling procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities through effective time management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with marketing initiatives and retail sales strategies to boost store performance
- Demonstrate ability in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, training & development when needed
- Knowledge of cellphone or device related product categories is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail in stock management and store presentation
