Outside Sales Representative – Batterbee Roofing (Florida)
Batterbee Roofing, a trusted roofing contractor serving Central Florida for over 30 years, is seeking a results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join the team at our Oxford, FL location. As part of a highly regarded, award-winning roofing company, you will help homeowners protect and improve their homes while building a rewarding sales career in a high-growth industry.
What You’ll Do
- Meet with qualified homeowners to present roofing solutions and guide them through the sales process.
- Conduct roof and exterior inspections to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Develop and deliver professional in-home sales presentations using company-approved tools and materials.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract execution, financing options (if applicable), and post-sale follow up.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of leads, appointments, and sales activities in the company CRM system.
- Achieve or exceed individual sales goals while supporting overall team performance.
- Participate in required training, sales meetings, and ride‑alongs to continuously improve product and sales knowledge.
- Represent Batterbee Roofing in a professional manner at all times, including at community events, home shows, and other marketing activities as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record under company insurance guidelines.
- Ability to safely access and walk residential roofs and climb ladders as part of roof inspections.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with homeowners.
- Comfortable working in a performance-based sales environment with clear goals and accountability.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use CRM and mobile applications.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, which may include some evenings and weekends, based on customer availability.
Preferred (not required):
- Prior sales experience in roofing, construction, home improvement, or related industries.
- Experience with in‑home sales and/or working with a structured sales system.
- Familiarity with roofing products, building exteriors, or insurance-related roof work.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- This role involves regular travel to customer homes throughout the assigned territory within Florida.
- Work is performed both outdoors (on roofs and in varying weather conditions) and indoors (customer homes and office).
- Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work at heights as part of roof inspections, and occasionally lift and carry materials up to approximately 20–30 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
