The Environment, Safety, Health, and Quality group at Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated student to join our dynamic team. This internship offers you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in environmental compliance regulations related to air, water, and waste management. You will collaborate with experienced professionals to ensure environmental compliance and waste management regulations. Additionally, you will assist in the inventorying of Ozone Depleting Substances and contribute to air implementation matrices. You will also conduct thorough environmental assessments, gaining valuable field and analytical skills.

This team enjoys a 4x10 work schedule, giving you a three-day weekend to explore and recharge. Our innovative Materials and Fuel Complex site, located 45 miles west of town, is surrounded by Idaho's stunning natural landscapes.

Minimum Requirements:

• Enrolled full time student status at an accredited college or university: Undergraduate/ Graduate Master's Degree Program

• Seeking degree in: biology, natural resources, environmental science, or other closely related science fields

• Possess a minimum overall 3.0 Grade Point Average

• Authorization to work in the U.S. (including CPT and OPT)

Compensation and Benefits:

• Undergraduate Internships ($26.16/hour - $31.47/hour)
• Masters Internships and PhD Internships Pre-Candidacy ($32.87/hour - $35.26/hour)
• Eligible interns are provided paid holiday time off, and many of our internships offer travel reimbursements.
• Multi-Level: This is a multi-level posting and you will be placed at the appropriate level dependent on degree field and level of education.
