The Baton Rouge Water Company is seeking a Risk/Safety/HR Administrative Assistant to join our team.
This role works closely with Risk/Safety/HR team to effectively and efficiently administer related programs and execute processes. This role has administrative and compliance responsibilities in a wide array of areas including but not limited to: Driver qualification files, Department of Transportation processes, Safety, Commercial Driver’s Licenses, Motor Vehicle Reports and records, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration requirements, Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse. Claim and Auto accidents, vehicle inventory, random drug and alcohol testing and certain human resources processes.
This role is assistant to Risk/Safety Coordinator, and HR team
A paralegal background would be a plus. An associated degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred in a related field. At least 1 to 2 years of administrative experience in risk, safety or human resources is a big plus.
Strong knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook are needed to be successful. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills are a must. The ideal candidate will be a versatile administrative individual who can pivot to emerging needs and priority changes while also navigating ambiguous situations. Proven experience in maintaining accurate records, files and data are needed to be successful.
Pay: $19.00 - $24.30 per hour
