Customer Service Representative

Baton Rouge Water Company is searching for an experienced Customer Service Representative with excellent customer service skills to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in a call center or customer service related experience.

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for handling various customer inquiries via telephone regarding the status of their accounts. Additionally, the Customer Service Representative assists the department in the collection of past due accounts. They are responsible to counsel customers for up-to-date payment arrangements on all incoming and outgoing phone contacts. The Customer Service Representative handles customer payments. The Customer Service Representative, when working in the drive thru, must maintain and balance a cash drawer.

Essential Skills, Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

· Inbound call center.

· Effectively and efficiently communicate with people at all levels, verbally, in writing and
in person.

· Provide effective customer service (friendliness, tact and diplomacy).

· Learn, apply and communicate knowledge of products and services.

· Input and retrieve data via computer.

· Handle incoming calls from customers with questions regarding their account status.

· Resolve customer complaints.

· Work with delinquent accounts in accordance with departmental guidelines, and
applicable laws and regulations.

· Collect payments and process orders.

· Cash handling responsibilities.

Education and Experience

· Several years of Customer Service experience.

· Some college is a plus.

· Call center preferred.

· Bi-lingual is a plus (Spanish and English).

Pay: $24.32 per hour
