What We’re Looking For:
Compassionate and detail-oriented professionals
Ability to perform under pressure with minimal supervision
Effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
One year of experience in an acute care hospital preferred
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
Current Louisiana licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
CPR Certification required
NRP, PALS, and ACLS certifications preferred

What You Will Do:
Provide respiratory therapy and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to cardiopulmonary disorders in accordance with physician orders and established practices.
Deliver and set up respiratory care equipment, ensuring proper function and adherence to safety standards
Monitor patients on continuous ventilation and make necessary equipment adjustments per departmental standards
Assess treatment effectiveness and collaborate with medical staff on patient care plans
Adhere to hospital safety and infection control policies, ensuring all equipment is clean, sterile, and ready for use
Handle medications securely and accurately as part of respiratory treatments
Educate and mentor staff through in-service presentations, serve as a resource for peers, and stay current with professional advancements
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance department operations
Perform other duties as assigned
