What We're Looking For:
Compassionate professional committed to helping individuals recover from substance use disorders through evidence-based counseling techniques.
Twenty-four (24) months of experience working with clients who have addictive disorders or specialized training in addiction counseling.
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
Current Louisiana LMHP licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC, or LRC) OR PLPC, LMSW, RAC, CAC, and/or CIT working under required supervision and regulatory guidelines.
Strong assessment, treatment planning, documentation, communication, crisis intervention, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

What You Will Do:
Provides evidence-based substance abuse counseling services for residential and/or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) patients while supporting recovery, treatment planning, and discharge coordination.
Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessments and communicate findings to the healthcare team, patients, and families.
Identify and respond appropriately to abuse, neglect, suicidal risk, and homicidal risk situations in accordance with facility and state regulations.
Facilitate individual, family, and group counseling sessions as ordered and scheduled.
Serve as primary counselor for up to 10-12 residential patients or 20 IOP clients.
Develop, monitor, and update treatment plans while documenting assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans.
Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning, care conferences, and discharge planning activities.
Advocate for patients throughout the treatment process and encourage patient and family involvement in care decisions.
Coordinate community resources and referrals to support successful transitions of care.
Provide supervision to unlicensed or inexperienced professionals when licensed and authorized.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety requirements, and all organizational policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
