Position Summary
Baton Rouge Cardiology Center is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Research Coordinator to join our growing research program. The Clinical Research Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day coordination of clinical trials, ensuring compliance with study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), FDA regulations, and sponsor requirements while providing exceptional care to research participants.
Essential Responsibilities
- Coordinate all aspects of assigned clinical research studies from study start-up through closeout.
- Recruit, screen, consent, enroll, and follow study participants according to protocol requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate study visits, procedures, laboratory testing, and follow-up appointments.
- Collect, document, and maintain accurate source documentation and study records.
- Complete electronic case report forms (eCRFs) and resolve data queries in a timely manner.
- Maintain regulatory binders, essential study documents, and investigator files.
- Prepare studies for sponsor monitoring visits, audits, and regulatory inspections.
- Communicate effectively with investigators, sponsors, Contract Research Organizations (CROs), and study participants.
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, HIPAA, and all applicable research regulations.
- Assist with study start-up activities, feasibility assessments, and regulatory submissions.
- Track enrollment, study milestones, and protocol requirements.
- Work collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to ensure successful study execution.
Qualifications
- Clinical research experience required.
- Experience with clinical trial regulatory documentation and regulatory compliance.
- Working knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP guidelines, and HIPAA.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple studies and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
