NuFace Home Improvements is seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Service Technician to join our growing team in Berlin, CT. This role is responsible for performing high-quality carpentry work, remodeling, and service/repair tasks while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and experienced in general construction and home improvement services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, drywall, and finish work
- Respond to service calls to diagnose and repair issues
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications
- Measure, cut, and install building materials with precision
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and building codes
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, team members, and management
- Load/unload tools and materials and maintain company equipment
Qualifications
- 3 years of carpentry or general construction experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction practices and materials
- Ability to perform service and repair work independently
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent work ethic and time management
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home improvement or remodeling companies
- OSHA certification (a plus)
- Basic electrical or plumbing knowledge (a plus)
