The medical technologist or technician performs laboratory procedures in a timely and accurate manner according to established Bath County Community Hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsibilities:

- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests on various biological specimens.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with established protocols.
- Analyze test results and ensure accuracy in reporting findings.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide relevant information.
- Adhere to quality control and quality assurance protocols to maintain accuracy and precision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Participate in continuing education and stay updated on advancements in laboratory technology.
- Perform venipuncture on all age groups using various techniques and equipment.
- Perform instrument maintenance and troubleshooting procedures as needed.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
- ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.
- Venipuncture skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and computer systems.
- Experience with Siemens Dimension EXL and Sysmex XN series preferred.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Experience with Siemens Dimension EXL and Sysmex XN series preferred.
- Venipuncture skills required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and computer systems.
- Knowledge and training in HIPAA
