What You’ll Do

In this role you will perform various administrative duties in support of the Research and Library Services function. You will:

  • Support password management, including creating and removing access during onboarding and offboarding, scheduling follow-up meetings, and coordinating with database vendors to add or remove user accounts.
  • Assist with the organization and maintenance of the physical book collection, including shelving print materials.
  • Assist with indexing articles and book chapters in the SharePoint eLibrary database; Support citation management by formatting resources according to Bates White style guidelines.
  • Track database usage and maintain user lists; Monitor subscription renewals on the Research team calendar and assist with individual renewals.
  • Support the Director of Library Services with annual report preparation, budget planning, and monthly credit card reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with research team members and client services staff to complete research assignments; Support long-term data entry projects as needed.
  • Perform assigned tasks thoroughly and accurately.
  • Participate in firm building.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1 – 2 years of professional experience required.
  • Experience working in a library, professional services firm, or a law firm is a plus.
  • Ability to follow directions and ask appropriate questions for clarification.
  • Ability to handle short deadlines, work well under pressure, and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be thorough and detail oriented.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to function well in a dynamic client services environment.
  • Ability to be resourceful and creative in approaching work-related challenges.
  • Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

  • Competitive compensation—the salary range for this position is $40,000 to $60,000. This position is also eligible for bonus compensation on a discretionary basis. The actual salary offered for this position will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including qualifications and experience, education, external market data, and internal equity.
