We are seeking a motivated Yard Worker/Scrap Yard Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be actively involved in managing scrap materials, computer work, weighing products and assist in maintaining a clean and organized yard environment. Your energetic approach will help ensure efficient operations and safety across the facility. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts to move scrap materials efficiently.
- Load and unload scrap metals, while inspecting loads and other materials with precision and safety awareness.
- Basic computer skills needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the yard by performing sweeping, debris removal, and sanitation tasks regularly.
- Assist with the sorting, stacking, and storage of scrap metals to optimize space utilization.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and colleagues.
- Familiarity with manufacturing or recycling environments is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
