Position Purpose:

Job Duties:
- Coordinate all plumbing activities with other building trades, College staff, contractors and students.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing items such as faucets, toilets, shower fixtures, flush valves, drains, pumps, etc.
- Operate, maintain, and repair campus low pressure boilers.
- Assist in maintaining necessary spare parts and supplies.
- Assist with maintenance of campus HVAC units.
- Operate all plumbing related equipment.
- Perform all plumbing and boiler related functions in accordance with National and Local Codes.
- Complete work orders and Preventive Maintenance slips.
- Perform tasks in accordance with National and College safety policies and procedures.
- Communicate well with all customers and understand their needs.
- Perform routine emergency response “on call” duty with distance restrictions.
- Shovel snow seasonally as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman Plumber license required
- Journeyman 1 and 2 oils license desired
- Trade school diploma, Maine High Pressure Boiler license, Maine Propane & Natural Gas Service License all desired
- Valid driver's license required
Experience
- 3-5 years or more of residential and/or commercial plumbing experience desired
- Computer experience and ability to understand CAD drafting uses and blueprints
- Operational knowledge of HVAC and Chiller equipment desired
Skills and Knowledge
