Position Purpose:
Guiding and executing all varieties of paint-related construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair projects on campus. Uses high quality painting skills, coaches, leads, and schedules the work of other members of the carpentry shop.
Job Duties:
- Coordinate all painter work with other building trades
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Communicate well with all customers and understand their needs
- Order all materials for the paint shop needs
- Operate all painting related equipment
- Perform all painting related functions
- Assign and complete work orders and PM (Preventive Maintenance) slips
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade school diploma or other carpentry credentials desired.
- Valid driver's license required.
Experience
- 8 years of residential and/or commercial painting experience required.
- 3 years of supervisory experience required.
- Ability to work with various types of paints and coatings required.
- Must have computer experience and ability to understand blueprints required.
- Ability to use pressure washer, paint sprayers, and other equipment generally associated with the painting trade required.
- Drywall and/or plaster experience a plus.
- Some management experience a plus.
