Primary Duties
- Designs and implements training programs that ensure production employees are proficient in operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Conducts onboarding and ongoing training sessions for production team members using various instructional methods.
- Updates training materials to reflect changes in processes, equipment, and industry best practices.
- Collaborates with leadership to identify training needs and develop strategies to address skill gaps.
- Tracks and maintains accurate records of training activities, certifications, and completion status.
- Evaluates training effectiveness through feedback and performance assessments, recommending improvements as needed.
- Provides coaching and support to production employees to reinforce learning and ensure compliance with standards.
- Prepares reports on training outcomes and team performance for management review.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to training and safety.
- Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates performance of direct reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Requires an associate degree in manufacturing, training and development, or a related discipline; 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, including 2 years in a lead or training role.
- or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Experience in developing and delivering training programs preferred.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to develop effective training materials and programs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities for assessing training needs and outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related applications.
- Frequent standing and walking during training sessions and plant visits.
- Ability to lift and move training materials or equipment up to 25 lbs.
- Visual and auditory acuity for monitoring training activities and safety compliance.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Work is primarily performed in a production or manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Occasional travel to other facilities for training purposes.
- Compliance with all applicable safety policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- This role is classified as a Safety Sensitive Position, requiring heightened awareness and adherence to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.
