Duties
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff
- Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines
- Support catering and banquet events by preparing ingredients and maintaining organized workstations
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and service stations through regular cleaning routines
- Buss tables by clearing dishes and resetting tables efficiently during service hours
- Follow proper food service procedures to assist in delivering excellent hospitality experiences
Requirements
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred, especially in food service or catering environments
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation standards, and kitchen safety protocols
- Experience with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, or basic cooking skills is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting and bending comfortably
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean workspace
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to support a busy kitchen environment
- Knowledge of banquet or hotel food service operations is advantageous
