Project Manager - Audiovisual Technology

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of audiovisual technology projects and events throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The ideal candidate is a highly organized professional with a strong technical background, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and experience managing client relationships, vendors, and complex project logistics.
This role requires frequent travel, hands-on problem solving, and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering an outstanding client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee audiovisual events and technology deployments throughout Virginia.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and deliverables from initiation through completion.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional communication and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate equipment procurement, delivery schedules, resource allocation, and installation activities.
- Conduct site visits, project assessments, and pre-event planning meetings.
- Identify and resolve technical, logistical, and operational issues before and during project execution.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure audiovisual systems are properly designed, installed, and supported.
- Monitor project performance and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, reports, and status updates.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of project management experience in technology, audiovisual, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of audiovisual systems, including audio, video, control systems, conferencing technologies, and event production.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues under pressure.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proven success building and maintaining client and vendor relationships.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Modeling software experience preferred (Sketchup).
- Experience designing or reviewing audiovisual system layouts and drawings.
- CTS, CTS-D, PMP, or other relevant industry certifications.
- Experience working with government, education, healthcare, or corporate clients.
