Shipping Lead and Order Selector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Lead to join our team. As a Warehouse Lead, you will be responsible for assisting with directing outbound shipping operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient and accurate selecting of materials and inventory. Your strong leadership skills and experience will contribute to the success of our selection operations.

Duties:

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including selecting, stacking, staging, and loading of product.
• Determine load diagrams.
• Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper selection procedures and safety protocols.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies that arise during nightly operations.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks as needed.
• Proactively identify and address potential safety hazards in the warehouse environment.
• Perform all Shipping Manager duties in the absence of the Shipping Manager.

Experience:

• At least five years of successful experience with the order selection process.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and materials handling.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required.

• Excellent leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Strong organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks to meet departure times in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.

Qualifications:

• At least five years of experience with the order selection process.
• Proficiency with operating an Electric Rider Pallet Jack.
• Experience operating a Stand-up Reach Forklift.
• Be physically capable of lifting cases up to 85 lbs repetitively.
• Understand and implement the FIFO method.
• Have strong attention to detail with accuracy in counting.
• Willingness to work in a hot, dry environment or a cold/freezer.
