What you'll do
The Payroll Specialist performs a variety of duties related to timely and accurate preparation of the biweekly and monthly
payrolls. Assists in maintaining the functional system of payroll records and information.
- All job functions of Payroll Assistant I, review work of payroll assistant I for accuracy.
- Process Biweekly and Monthly payrolls for Bassett Healthcare Network, including demands and
corrections. - Calculate demands, retro pays, adjustments, etc. Work with HR on deduction adjustments.
- Main point of contact for employees, directors and managers for questions and issue resolution.
- Process bank files and work with Finance cash team for bank processing of payroll and direct
deposits. - Responsible for testing updates for payroll software and tax updates.
- Calculate LOA supplement and benefit time.
- Pay NYS child support and other legal deductions.
What we need from you
Education:
- 2 Year / Associate Degree in Accounting, preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years Payroll processing, required

Physical Requirements:
- Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force
frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking or standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met. - Occasional hearing, repetitive motion, standing, talking, walking

Pay Range
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $21.53/Hr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $32.30/Hr.
